Great Wolf Lodge

At the end of December James' company did an audit of overtime pay for 2008 and apparently they owed him some money. So on Dec 31st he got a surprise paycheck. He had been wanting to take the girls on a mini vacation, but we were trying to pay off debt. This extra paycheck provided just what we needed to take the girls on a trip plus do some charitable giving that we had been hoping to do. We decided to take the girls to the Great Wolf Lodge on Jan 1 and stay for one night. We got up early and headed up to Sandusky. We used to live in Vermilion and I used to work in Sandusky so we were in our old stomping grounds. We ate a brunch at Perkins (YUMMY) and then headed to the GWL. Our room was not ready yet, but we were able to get into the waterpark. The girls had a blast! They loved the various waterslides and pools. Sierra even went down a couple of the big ones by herself. I guess those swimming lessons paid off! They also loved the room because they had their own little log cabin right in our hotel room. Even the food was really yummy! We had a great time!
Here are some pics to enjoy:

(it was hard to get a picture of it because the room was so narrow)

and left the room so that Dad and Quellie could sleep.

The girls enjoyed the arcade as well
